#stopDMCA is trending on twitter as internet users express outrage over REPUBLICAN Senator Thom Tillis ramming through a Felony Streaming Bill Into the must-approve government spending omnibus bill that could put people in Prison over a copyright offense.
Thom Tillis’ bill would make streaming copyrighted music a felony crime, which would translate to jail time in cases where that applies. The potential bill would have a lot of bad implications for the content and gaming world. YouTube would also certainly face new DMCA issues.
The fact that this bill is being snuck into the omnibus relief bill rather than being voted on and decided by both houses of congress is an outrage.
Tillis motive for doing this? News reports indicate Tillis’ campaign and leadership PAC received over $100,000 in donations from PACs affiliated with the Motion Picture Association, Sony Pictures, ASCAP, Universal Music Group, Comcast & NBCUniversal, The Internet and Television Association, Salem Media Group, Warner Music, and others in the entertainment and cable industry to ram this bill through during the third and fourth quarters of 2020.

Last year’s reopening of Florida – followed by a five-fold rise in COVID cases – was driven by data, the state claimed. DOH tells a different story.
Florida police raided the home of a former state coronavirus data scientist on Monday, escalating a feud between the state government and a data expert who has accused officials of trying to cover up the extent of the pandemic.
The Florida Department of Law Enforcement executed a search warrant Monday morning at the home of data scientist Rebekah Jones, who was fired by the state Department of Health in May. The agency is investigating whether Jones accessed a state government messaging system without authorization to urge employees to speak out about coronavirus deaths, according to an affidavit by an agent working on the case.
Jones told CNN that she hadn’t improperly accessed any state messaging system and that she lost access to her government computer accounts after she was removed from her position.
About 10 officers with guns drawn showed up to her Tallahassee home around 8:30 a.m., Jones said. A video taken from a camera in her house, which she posted on social media, showed an officer pointing a gun up a stairwell as Jones told him her two children were upstairs. Jones said that the officer was pointing his gun at her 2-year-old daughter, 11-year-old son and her husband, who she said were in the stairwell, although the video doesn’t make that clear.

Armed police raided Jones’ home on Monday in an investigation of an unauthorized message sent over the Florida Department of Health emergency management system. Jones helped build the state’s coronavirus data dashboard before she was fired for insubordination in May. She claimed she was fired for refusing to manipulate data to cast the state’s infections in a more favorable light and alleged that DeSantis ordered the raid in retaliation, which his office denies.
Filipkowski, a former state and federal prosecutor, said in his resignation letter that he was “increasingly alarmed” by DeSantis’ “reckless and irresponsible” pandemic response but the raid on Jones was “unconscionable.” Filipowski, a Marine veteran, said that even if Jones was behind the message he would “still call her a hero.” He added that he found the governor’s office claim that DeSantis was unaware of the raid “not credible.”

For example, while polls show a growing percentage of White people are willing to acknowledge that Black people are treated differently by the criminal justice system, a majority tell pollsters they still believe Confederate monuments should essentially be left alone – like Cotton does.
Cotton’s plainspoken demonstration of racist rationalizing to the Arkansas paper began after he tried to use his position as a US Senator to cancel and smear the groundbreaking 1619 Project, a New York Times initiative that forced readers to see this nation’s founding anew, through the eyes of the enslaved and those who came after them – instead of through the eyes of the enslavers, as most traditional histories of America have done. Cotton wants to deny federal funding to schools who use the 1619 Project as a teaching tool. Several schools have adopted it; others plan to. I’ve used it in my journalism classes at Davidson College and will again this fall.

Instead, they told the truth about what it means for a nation to have been built on a contradiction: that all men are created equal but that Black people needed to be in chains and shackles. They explained why Black people decided to love a country that hated it and why it took Black people to make real the words the founders wrote but didn’t live up to”.

Nugent has made numerous comments advocating death and violence to people like “Clinton and Obama To Be Hanged Over Benghazi” and calling for Democrats to be shot. Saying in a video, “If Barack Obama becomes the next president in November, again, I will either be dead or in jail by this time next year” sounded like a threat to kill the president of the United States by a lot of people.
Can’t understand why he hasn’t been arrested, prosecuted and put in prison for death threats and advocating violence. Many a high school kid has been arrested and put in prison for saying less than Nugent.

Rush Limbaugh Ratings & Radio Audience Declining
Just like other aging celebrities, Rush Limbaugh had his day in the sun but those days are waning like his aging Audience.
The day will eventually come when very few people will even remember who Rush Limbaugh was. During the 1930’s & 1940’s, Walter Winchell was one of the top radio personalities. Now, how many people even remember Walter Winchell? Not many. If it weren’t for Winchell being the announcer for the 1960’s TV Show, The Untouchables, he would be totally forgotten. The same will eventually happen to poor old Rush.
Republicans / Conservatives may claim that conservatism isn’t dying by stating the fact that Congress and a majority of States are under Republican rule. The primary reason is because of Republican’s aggressive gerrymandering tactics which has been rigging elections in their favor since they implemented REDMAP. Conservatism rule will eventually fade due to the shift in demographics and younger age dominating the overall US population.
Church Attendance In Steep Decline
Most conservatives are church goers and church attendance is declining, a clear indicator of the dwindling conservative population.
