It was highly irresponsible for NBC Executives Cesar Conde, Rebecca Blumenstein and Carrie Budoff Brown to have hired EX-RNC Chair Ronna McDaniel. It was an affront to Democracy, the high standards which REAL journalism is supposed to uphold and a slap in the face to all devoted viewers of NBC.

Tell NBC to fire Ronna McDaniel!

Ronna McDaniel actively worked to sabotage the 2020 election results alongside Trump. And for the past four years, McDaniel has been sowing doubt around the 2020 election, refusing to acknowledge that Joe Biden legitimately won the election. Election deniers like McDaniel should be held accountable for their attempts to undermine our democracy, not rewarded with high-profile jobs.

Fans were LIVID that NBC hired McDaniel and created the above petition which has received over 66,800 signatures as of today’s date.

Some right-wing media outlets have suggested that NBC should not have caved to pressure to let McDaniel go. I say they’re full of SHIT because the staff and fans were in full scale revolt and were determined to do what ever it took to get rid of McDaniel. On-air personalities made it clear, they were not going to have McDaniel on their shows. They should not have to PAY for NBC executives mistake, and they made it clear, they were NOT going to.

After learning how Republicans stole the 2000 election and following politics for the past 10 years, I hate Republicans guts. It’s why I started this site. I don’t want to hear anything they have to say or see them on TV. Anytime Trumps is shown, I hit the MUTE cuz I hate the sound of his voice. It’s like “fingernails across a chalkboard”. If his lips are moving, he LYING. I think he’s the most despicable excuse of a human being (other the Putin, Hitler and Kim Jong Un) I’ve ever seen. I think people who support him are stupid and have no decency and/or they’re brainwashed from watching FOX.

McDaniel has steadfastly stood by & promoted Trump, the WORST, most LAWLESS and CORRUPT President in History who refused to admit he lost the election, invented the BIG LIE that the election was stolen (which Ronna McDaniel endlessly repeated), incited riots & violence, causing 5 deaths by his brainwashed MOB of Supporters to make himself an UN-elected Dictator by stopping the certification of Democratically Elected Joe Biden.

McDaniel’s conduct should not be rewarded or given legitimacy by being hired by a reputable News organization like NBC.

That fact that these NBC Executives would hire a Treasonous, Trump Supporting enabler like Ronna McDaniel and make statements such as “It couldn’t be a more important moment to have a voice like Ronna’s on the team” proves they are TOTALLY out of touch with all of the insane, lawless, anti-democratic shit Trump & his supporters / enablers has engaged in for the past 8 years. It proves they lack principles, good judgement and are unfit to hold their positions.

Since former CEO Jeff Shell exited nearly a year ago, the company has been headed on an interim basis by Comcast president Michael Cavanagh. He is viewed as getting some background in film and TV before he ascends to lead parent company Comcast when Brian Roberts retires as chairman and CEO. (With so much speculation about potential megadeals, it’s hard to predict who will end up where.) Meanwhile, the news division seems to have fallen prey to a confusing leadership structure at a level one rung below Conde, who — as one insider put it — “is not a news guy.”

The result is that both the news division and NBCU itself are overseen by executives who lack deep knowledge of the day-to-day businesses they lead. Cavanagh affably acknowledges that he lacks experience in entertainment and portrays himself as a student of seasoned leaders like Donna Langley, chairman of the NBCUniversal Studio Group and chief content officer. Cavanagh’s stance “is endearing to begin with and the right thing is to defer to the experts who have run the business,” says one longtime NBC executive.

Conde’s professional experience has largely been focused on the board room, rather than the newsroom. (He sits on the boards of directors of both Walmart and PepsiCo, as well as on the Council on Foreign Relations.)

Blumenstein and NBC News senior vp politics Carrie Budoff Brown took the lead in talks with McDaniel. In a memo to staff announcing McDaniel’s hire, Budoff Brown stated that “It couldn’t be a more important moment to have a voice like Ronna’s on the team … As we gear up for the longest general election season in recent memory, she will support our leading coverage by providing an insider’s perspective on national politics and on the future of the Republican Party — which she led through some of the most turbulent and challenging moments in political history.”

To many at NBCU, it seems inexplicable that these executives failed to anticipate the outrage that ensued. But some insiders maintain that no one in the news division raised any objection to the deal before it was announced — not even MSNBC chief Rashida Jones, who subsequently reassured the rebelling hosts that McDaniel would not appear on the network’s air”.

As stated in the above article, Rebecca Blumenstein and Carrie Budoff Brown is mostly to blame for taking “the lead in talks with McDaniel”.

It’s as though Blumenstein and Brown doesn’t have a clue about the history of January 6, the programming at MSNBC which exposed Trump’s treasonous behavior and McDaniel’s supporting / enabling Trump’s attempted overthrow of our government and the 2020 election.

Anyone with an ounce of intelligence should know that most MSNBC viewers hate Trump’s guts and everyone connected to him. The same would be true of FOX viewers about President Biden… most probably hate his guts due to FOX’s programming. It’s basic common sense which NBC Executives like Blumenstein and Brown seem to be lacking.

IMO, NBC Executives Cesar Conde, Rebecca Blumenstein and Carrie Budoff Brown should be FIRED and the $600,000 which they negotiated should be paid to Ronna McDaniel out of their salaries.

Per the above article: NBC News has officially decided to part ways with its newest on-air contributor, Ronna McDaniel, the former Republican National Committee chair, just days after she was hired.

“After listening to the legitimate concerns of many of you, I have decided that Ronna McDaniel will not be an NBC News contributor,” NBC News Group chairman Cesar Conde wrote in a memo to staff Tuesday afternoon. “No organization, particularly a newsroom, can succeed unless it is cohesive and aligned. Over the last few days, it has become clear that this appointment undermines that goal.”

Separately, McDaniel has been dropped by CAA, the agency that repped her in the deal with the network, sources confirm to The Hollywood Reporter.

The former Republican National Committee chair was hired by NBC News on March 22 as an on-air contributor, and she made her NBC debut on Sunday’s edition of Meet the Press, where she was grilled by Kristen Welker. “It couldn’t be a more important moment to have a voice like Ronna’s on the team,” NBC News senior VP of political Carrie Budoff Brown said of her hire at the time.

The NBCUniversal News Group chair is facing a torrent of backlash from his own staff after greenlighting the hire of former Republican National Committee chair Ronna McDaniel as a paid network contributor.

Per the above article: While NBC News president Rebecca Blumenstein and senior vice president of politics Carrie Budoff Brown were most directly responsible for McDaniel’s hiring, a decision that MSNBC boss Rashida Jones did not object to it at the time, the buck ultimately stops with Cesar Conde, who hold the real power at the Peacock Network. McDaniel’s hiring could not have happened without Conde’s blessing.

It does not take a brilliant political mind with prescient foresight to understand that hiring McDaniel would ignite a firestorm of outrage — from both within 30 Rock and outside it. Conde, someone who ostensibly supports American democracy, should have rejected McDaniel’s hiring on the grounds that NBCU News Group could not put someone on its payroll who tried to subvert the 2020 vote.

The notion put forward by NBC that it needed to hire McDaniel to bring its viewers “an insider’s perspective on national politics and the future of the Republican Party” is absurd. If that’s the case, the network should move to hire free agents like Tucker Carlson or Candace Owens. They too have their hands on the pulse of the Republican Party. In fact, they represent much more of where the GOP stands today than McDaniel. So, using NBC’s logic, why not hire them? (Spoiler: News organizations rightfully have established basic standards for paid contributors. Asking that your employees have a commitment to democracy, to the truth, and to basic decency is not a big ask.)

But even if Conde has no allegiance to basic democratic principles, which this hire calls into question, given that he is known to be a political player who cares deeply about his own image in the press, he should have been wise enough to foresee that hiring McDaniel would be an ill-conceived move. How this did not occur to Conde is unfathomable and shows a tremendous lack of judgment.

Even more bizarre is Conde’s management, or lack thereof, since the controversy erupted. It was clear early on that his employees at NBC News and MSNBC did not support McDaniel’s hiring. If that was not evident on Friday, it was clear as day on Sunday after “Meet the Press.” The network’s employees were not only flabbergasted and demoralized by the move, but absolutely enraged by it.

At that point, the writing should have been on the wall for Conde — as it was for every other media executive that I have spoken with over the last 24 hours. It is evident that McDaniel has no real future as an NBC analyst and the decision to bring her on as a contributor will have to be reversed.

The only real question for Conde after the Sunday morning scolding should have been how he chose to back out of the deal in the least painful way possible. To be fully honest, I very much expected a Sunday evening announcement from NBC, one that would have earned praise from the company’s staff and quickly been swept away by the rush of Trump news Monday morning.

But no such announcement came.

Instead, Conde has allowed the mess to spiral absolutely out of control. MSNBC’s top stars hammered the network’s leadership throughout the day Monday over the hire. NBC News’ Guild blasted Conde, saying in a statement that under him the company had quietly laid off employees over the last month and instead chosen to “prioritize an election denier over its reporters.” The already severe crisis was allowed to blossom into one of the worst corporate public relations catastrophes in recent memory.

All the while, Conde has remained silent. I asked his spokesperson, Stephen Labaton, on Monday whether the NBCU News Group boss had any comment on the situation. Does he have any regret? I didn’t get an on-the-record response. Suffice to say, however, that what Conde does moving forward will say a lot about his character and commitment to democratic values. It will also say a lot about the NBCU News Group and what type of organization it is”.

He promised to ‘root out’ those who he thinks are ‘communists, marxists and ‘the radical left’. This means anyone who opposes him.

Trump’s statements prove he intends to violate his Oath of Office, the United States Constitution and Citizens rights. Trump has proven to be a lawless pathological liar, narcissistic psychopath and a clear & present danger which the RNC is recklessly unleashing onto the American public by enabling, sponsoring and promoting on they’re ticket.
