Chris Cuomo rips NBC’s reversal on Ronna McDaniel hiring
NewsNation host Chris Cuomo criticized NBC News’s decision to oust former Republican National Committee (RNC) Chair Ronna McDaniel as a paid contributor. “How is this not a ‘[former President Trump] and his people tried to rig the election, we don’t want ’em around,'” he said on his show “Cuomo” Tuesday.

“McDaniel’s ouster followed pushback from the network’s staff over her hiring, including some on-air, because of her comments and role in Trump’s efforts to overturn the 2020 election. NBCUniversal News Group Chair Cesar Conde announced the decision to cut ties with McDaniel in a Tuesday memo obtained by The Hill.
“No organization, particularly a newsroom, can succeed unless it is cohesive and aligned,” Conde wrote. “Over the last few days, it has become clear that this appointment undermines that goal.”
NBC Executives made a HUGE mistake by hiring Ronna McDaniel is the first place. NBC & MSNBC staff made it clear they’d have nothing to do with McDaniel. They shouldn’t have to live with NBC Executive’s mistake. NBC Executives ousting Ronna McDaniel was the only course of action they could take because not only was the staff in revolt, viewers who are the network’s bread and butter, were also in revolt and had started a petition to have McDaniel fired.
Tell NBC to fire Ronna McDaniel!
Ronna McDaniel actively worked to sabotage the 2020 election results alongside Trump. And for the past four years, McDaniel has been sowing doubt around the 2020 election, refusing to acknowledge that Joe Biden legitimately won the election. Election deniers like McDaniel should be held accountable for their attempts to undermine our democracy, not rewarded with high-profile jobs.
As of today’s date, 67,221 people have signed the petition to have McDaniel fired.
I used to have high regard for Chris Cuomo when he was with CNN. Now, I feel his criticizing NBC for ousting Ronna McDaniel proves he’s an idiot who SOLD OUT to right wing media outlet NewsNation for a job & a paycheck. Chris Cuomo has lost his credibility with viewers who used to watch him on CNN.
IMO he’s no better than Sean Hannity who says and does what’s required to keep his job.
