George H.W. Bush Not Worthy of Endless Praise

The Ignored Legacy of George H.W. Bush: War Crimes, Racism, and Obstruction of Justice

The tributes to former President George H.W. Bush, who died on Friday aged 94, have been pouring in from all sides of the political spectrum. He was a man “of the highest character,” said his eldest son and fellow former president, George W. Bush.

In my opinion, the non-stop coverage of the passing of George H.W. Bush which continued for about a week seemed overdone and out-of-bounds for a One Term President with little accomplishments and more scandals than many people remember. You’d think he was George Washington or Abraham Lincoln the way they eulogized him. Ronald Reagan, who served for 8 years and had a far greater legacy, didn’t receive as much adoration as H. Bush received.

The MSM is failing to report that the presidency of George H W Bush shared similarities with the belligerent, corrupt, right-wing Republican figures who came after him… his son George W. and the orange-faced buffoon currently occupying the White House.

H Bush lied about increasing taxes with the infamous pledge “Read my lips… No New Taxes”… he ran a racist election campaign (Willie Horton ads)… he escalated the misguided war on drugs… was accused of committing war crimes and he refused to cooperate with a special counsel regarding the Iran-Contra affair.

As CIA director in 1976, Bush supported some of the most violent right-wing dictatorships in Latin America, including the junta in Argentina and dictator Augusto Pinochet in Chile. Bush was responsible for overseeing the payment of hundreds of thousands of dollars to Panamanian leader and suspected cocaine trafficker, Manuel Noriega. While Bush was of the head of the CIA, it’s reported he was caught destroying evidence of US war crimes.

George H.W. Bush pardoned six of the main conspirators in the Iran-Contra scandal. Iran-Contra involved the secret sale of arms to Iran and the illegal diversion of the proceeds to the anti-Sandinista Contras in Nicaragua. Thousands of civilians were killed as a result. Lawrence Walsh, the independent prosecutor in the case, said, after Bush issued the pardons, “the Iran-Contra cover-up … has now been completed.” The use of the presidential pardon power to cover up a scandal was obstruction of justice then, just as it will be if Trump invokes it now to protect likely targets of the Mueller investigation, including himself.

Ignored was Bush’s role in violent U.S. interventions, from the 1989 invasion of Panama, which Bush ordered, killing an estimated 3,000 civilians, to the 1991 invasion of Iraq, also on his orders, which killed thousands of Iraqis. Just this week, the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights called on the U.S. to pay reparations to the victims of the Panama invasion.

How Would Mother Jones Eulogize George H.W. Bush? https://truthdig.com/articles/how-would-mother-jones-eulogize-george-h-w-bush/

George H.W. Bush had 3 sons who were idiots; George W. Bush, a stupid, illegitimate President who was helped by his lawless brother Jeb Bush who’s administration rigged the 2000 election.

This set the stage for the Iraq War which caused the deaths of thousands of Americans and hundreds of thousands of Iraqis.

The Relatively Charmed Life Of Neil Bush

Ah, it’s nice to be Neil Bush. When you’re Neil Bush, rich people from all over the world are eager to invest money in your businesses, even though your businesses have a history of crashing and burning in spectacular fashion.

Neil Bush’s Silverado bailout cost taxpayers $1.6 billion.

Yes, unlike TRUMP… George H.W. Bush did serve in the military along with thousands of other guys during World War ll.  That alone does not warrant all the praise he has been receiving. That same praise has not been given to the thousands of “Average Joe’s” who also served.

Considering all the damage and deaths he and his sons caused, I think it would have been better if George H.W. Bush had never been born.
